3 Babbar Khalsa operatives arrested in Punjab; Rinda was handler, Attack on police stations foiled

The State Special Operation Cell of Punjab Police, Mohali has busted a terror network of Pakistani ISI-backed Babbar Khalsa International (BKI).

Chandigarh, June 27: The State Special Operation Cell of Punjab Police, Mohali has busted a terror network of Pakistani ISI-backed Babbar Khalsa International (BKI).

This module was being run by UK-based Nishan Singh and Pakistan-based terrorist Harvinder Rinda. Police have arrested three accused including a juvenile.

2 hand grenades, 1 Glock pistol and other explosive materials were recovered from them.

According to the police, the accused were planning to attack police establishments and carry out target killings in Amritsar. With their arrest, a major terror plot has been foiled and many lives have been saved, claims the police.

All the accused are residents of Amritsar

The arrested accused have been identified as Sahajpal Singh and Vikramjit Singh. Both are residents of Ramdas in Amritsar rural. While one of the accused is also a juvenile. Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav gave this information by posting on his social media account. He said that two hand grenades, a Glock pistol and ammunition were recovered from the arrested people.

FIR lodged in SSOC Mohali

The police has registered an FIR in this regard at the Mohali police station of the State Special Operations Cell under the relevant sections of the BNS and Explosives Act. The police say that the matter is under investigation. Soon many more revelations will be made in this case. Police officials claim that the police is constantly engaged in eliminating terrorist organizations.
