Ferozpur, April13: In a major success against cross-border terrorism, the Counter-Intelligence unit of Ferozpur has arrested two key operatives- Jagga Singh and Manjinder Singh- belonging to a terror module operated by Germany-based Gurpreet Singh alias Goldy Dhillon. Dhillon is a known associate of Goldy Brar and the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang, both of whom are linked to organized crime and terrorism.
The arrests have led to the recovery of a 2.8 kg Improvised Explosive Device (IED), containing 1.6 kg of RDX and equipped with a remote control. According to preliminary investigations, the EID was intended for a targeted terror attack in Punjab.
The National Investigation Agency has declared a Rs. 10 lakh award on Goldy Dhillon, who is believed to the operating from abroad and actively working with Pakistan’s ISI to disrupt peace in the region.
An FIR has been registered at Police Station SSOC, Mohali, under the Explosive Substances Act. The operation highlights ongoing threats from ISI-sponsored groups and the vigilance of Indian Security agencies in neutralising such dangers before they can harm civilians.
