Amritsar, July 27: Amritsar Rural Police, in collaboration with central agencies, has busted a major cross-border smuggling network running under the auspices of Pakistan’s ISI. During this operation, the police have arrested five main accused.
Weapons, ammunition and cash recovered
The police said that during the raid, one AK Saiga 308 assault rifle, 2 magazines, 2 Glock 9mm pistols, 4 magazines, 90 live bullets of AK rifle, 10 bullets of 9mm, ₹7.50 lakh cash (drug money), a car and 3 mobile phones were recovered.
Direct contact with ISI, connection of gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria
In the initial investigation, it has been revealed that the arrested accused had direct contact with Pakistan-based ISI agents. This possible arms consignment was to be given to Nav Pandori, an associate of notorious gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria. This confirms that this network was part of a terror-gangster nexus.
