Chandigarh: Punjab Police reached the Chandigarh house of senior Punjab Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly, Partap Singh Bajwa today. The police had surrounded Bajwa for questioning. This action has been taken against him for his statement about grenades coming to Punjab during an interview given to a TV channel.
He had said in the interview that 50 grenades had come to Punjab, out of which 18 have been used, while 32 are remaining. After this statement, the Punjab government has surrounded him.
After the police action, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has also released a video and asked Bajwa to explain his statement. CM Mann has asked that where he get the information about the grenades coming? Does he have direct connections with Pakistan that the terrorists are talking to him directly on the phone?
At the same time, AIG of Counter Intelligence Ravjot Grewal has said that this action has been taken under his leadership. However, Bajwa has not yet given any information about where he got this information about the arrival of grenades.

Actually, Bajwa had attended a TV program. During this, on a question related to the security of Punjab, Bajwa said-
“Now Punjab Police does not protect people. After 7 pm, the police start protecting themselves. Now Kalia sahab’s (former BJP minister Manoranjan Kalia) house has been attacked. I have come to know that 50 bombs have arrived. I don’t know whether Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has this information or not. 18 bombs have been fired, while 32 are still left.”
After this statement of Bajwa, he came under the radar of police investigation. On Sunday, the police came to question him so that information about these grenades could be found in time.
According to sources, Bajwa was going to his constituency Qadian today, but the police called him and told him not to go anywhere. Stay at home. They have to ask him some questions.
