Punjab Police to bring back 46 gangsters lodged in jails of other states

In a bid to bring back gangsters, Punjab Police have identified 46 such criminals. 

Punjab Police have started the process of identification of criminals wanted for crimes of violence and extortion in Punjab who are lodged in jails in other states. In a bid to bring back gangsters, Punjab Police have identified 46 such criminals.

Senior police officials said that these gangsters have managed to escape from jails in Punjab and are continuing their crimes despite being behind bars in other states.

Now, under the directions of Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav, the district police chiefs are preparing dossiers to be sent to the courts of the states where these gangsters have been caught and bringing them back to Punjab to investigate their cases and dismantle their networks.

A total of 22 gangsters belong to the Lawrence Bishnoi-Goldy Brar gang, 10 to the Davinder Bambiha-Lucky Patiala gang, eight to the Harvinder Rinda-Lakhbir Landa gang, four to the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang and two to the Harry Chatha gang.

These gangsters are currently lodged in jails in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Delhi. Punjab Police will soon start the legal work to bring back all these gangsters in Punjab.
