Chandigarh, July 25: The politics of Punjab has heated up due to the statement given by BJP MP from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh and Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut on drug addiction. Aam Aadmi Party AAP MLA and Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema has strongly objected to this. He says that Kangana Ranaut should control her statements,
Because she often tries to remain in the media by talking nonsense and absurd things. She does not yet have a proper understanding of society. She keeps making indecent comments about society and women every day, which I strongly condemn.
Harpal Cheema mainly said three things, which are as follows –
1. Harpal Cheema said that the problem of drug addiction is not limited to Himachal only. Recently, a national report came out. In this, Punjab is far behind other states. If we talk about Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, where there are BJP governments, then the situation there is much worse than in Punjab. Punjab has already taken steps in this direction, and we are constantly trying to eliminate drug addiction from the state.
2. The Finance Minister said that wherever there are BJP governments, especially if we talk about Gujarat, most of the drugs are supplied to the entire country through Gujarat. The country knows this. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah should answer for this.
3. Whenever there is talk of gangsters or drug smuggling, its link is often linked to Gujarat. Talking about taking the country forward, both the Prime Minister and the Home Minister come from Gujarat. In such a situation, Kangana Ranaut should first go to Gujarat and conduct a survey and see at what level drugs are supplied to the entire country from the ports there.
There is controversy over this statement of Kangana today
In Delhi, Kangana has given a statement that “The situation in Himachal has become serious due to drugs. If strict steps are not taken soon, then our situation will become like those villages of Punjab, where only women and widows live.” Kangana further said, “Drugs are reaching Himachal from Pakistan via Punjab. Children have even sold their parents’ jewelry. Youths who are addicted to drugs lock themselves in rooms, shout, commit thefts, break vehicles and furniture and vandalize houses. This has made the situation worse than death.”
