Amritsar : The temperature in Punjab is continuously falling. The temperature has dropped by 1.2 degrees in the last 24 hours. Due to which people have got slight relief from the heat. Due to Western Disturbance, it is expected that there may be rain in Punjab for the next two days and strong winds are expected.
According to the warning issued by the Meteorological Department, an orange alert has been issued in 18 districts of Punjab. According to this alert, winds will blow at a speed of up to 40 km in Punjab.
This will affect Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, Moga, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Ludhiana, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar, SAS Nagar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala, Sangrur, Malerkotla and Barnala. At the same time, yellow alert has been issued in other five districts Fazilka, Muktsar, Faridkot, Bathinda and Mansa.
Continuous fall in temperature
The effect of Nautapa has reduced in Punjab since June 2. Apart from this, Western Disturbance is also active in Punjab for the last few days. Due to which the temperature is falling due to winds. The Meteorological Department has also issued a rain alert, but they too were reported lightly in some areas.
Talking about Tuesday evening, the average temperature of Punjab has dropped by 1.2 degrees. Whereas, the maximum temperature has come down below 46 degrees and 45.8 degrees was recorded in Faridkot.

Amritsar- The maximum temperature was recorded at 43.2 degrees last evening. At the same time, today’s maximum temperature is expected to fall to 41 degrees. There are chances of rain.
Jalandhar- The maximum temperature of the city was recorded at 42.5 degrees on Tuesday evening. There are chances of rain today. After which today’s maximum temperature can fall to 40 degrees.
Ludhiana- Yesterday’s maximum temperature was recorded at 43 degrees, which was 3 degrees more than normal. Today this temperature can reach 41 degrees.
Patiala- Till Tuesday evening, the maximum temperature was recorded at 43.5 degrees. Today this temperature can reach 41 degrees.
Mohali- Yesterday’s maximum temperature was recorded at 41.8 degrees. It is estimated that today the temperature can fall to 40 degrees.
