Punjab Weather Update: No alert issued for today, weather to change

Despite the light rain the temperature of the state has increased by 1.5.

No alert has been issued in Punjab today (Friday). The situation in the state is going to remain the same for the next 48 hours. But on July 27, the weather may change again. At the same time, light rain was seen in some districts till 5.30 pm yesterday. Despite this, the temperature of the state has increased by 1.5.

According to the Meteorological Center, the temperature of the state remains close to normal. The highest temperature in Punjab was recorded at 37.3 degrees Celsius in Samrala of Ludhiana district. At the same time, the temperature in Amritsar was 32.6 degrees, Ludhiana 34.2 degrees, Patiala 36.2 degrees, Bathinda 36.5 degrees, Faridkot 34.5 degrees, Mohali 34.8 degrees and Hoshiarpur 33.7 degrees.

Apart from this, 10.6 mm of rain was recorded in Ludhiana, 2 mm in Fazilka, 7.5 mm in Ferozepur till 5.30 pm on Thursday.

10 percent less rain in the state

Monsoon is getting sluggish in the month of July in Punjab. Normally, 125.8 mm of rain falls in the state from 1 to 24 July, but this year only 113.1 mm of rain has occurred in the month of July. That is, 10 percent less rain has fallen in the state than normal.

Weather will change from 27th, yellow alert issued

No alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department in the state today and Friday. The situation in the state will remain normal for two days. There are chances of rain at some places. On the other hand, a new phase of rain will start from 27th July. A yellow alert has been issued in the state on 27-28 July.

27 July – Yellow alert has been issued in Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr and Rupnagar. Alert has been issued regarding rain in the districts adjoining Himachal Pradesh.

July 28 – Yellow alert has been issued in Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr and Rupnagar.
