Jalandhar: The weather has started changing in Punjab. The temperature has dropped. The temperature is going to drop from 27th June. There is a high possibility of rain. People will get relief from heat wave in the coming days. There is no alert of heat wave yet. Humidity will increase continuously in the air due to which people should take care of their health.
Farmers will have to take care of their crops.
Giving information, Dr. Pavaneet Kaur Kingra, Head of Meteorological Department of Punjab Agricultural University, said that people have got relief from heat wave for the last few days. But the maximum temperature on the previous day was 29.4 degrees. While the minimum temperature was 26.7 degrees.
This was 2.7 degrees more than the normal temperature. The heat wave during the day has reduced considerably as compared to earlier. Rain is also expected from 27 June.
The amount of moisture in the air is increasing. People should take care of their health. People should keep drinking water regularly. The rain that will happen in the coming days can be called pre-monsoon. However, the time of monsoon in Punjab is 1 July. Farmers are constantly being made aware to take care of the moong crop before the rains.
