Light to moderate rain is expected at some places in 8 districts of Punjab today (June 4). At present, the maximum temperature in the entire state is below 38 degrees. Due to this, there is some relief from the heat.
In 24 hours, the temperature of the state has decreased by two degrees, which is 4.6 degrees less than the normal temperature of the state. The maximum temperature in the state has been recorded at 38 degrees in Samrala. However, after this there is no alert for thunderstorms or lightning till June 9.
According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain is expected at isolated places in Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar, Fazilka, Muktsar, Bathinda, Mansa, Nawanshahr, Mohali. While thunderstorms/lightning/strong winds (speed 30-40 kmph) are likely in Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar, Fazilka, Muktsar, Bathinda, Mansa, Faridkot, Barnala, Nawanshahr, Mohali.
While there is a possibility of rain on June 5. However, there is no alert for thunderstorms or storms.
The temperature of all the districts of the state is currently between 33 to 38 degrees. A drop in temperature has been recorded in all the districts. Chandigarh has recorded a temperature of 36.2 degrees. A drop of 0.8 degrees has been recorded in the temperature. The temperature of Ludhiana has dropped by 2.6 degrees. Now it has been recorded at 35.8 degrees. Similarly, the temperature of Amritsar has dropped by 2.9 degrees to 35.5 degrees and Jalandhar has recorded a temperature of 34 degrees.
