Within a week, the temperature of the cities of Punjab is seeing a drop of 3 to 5 degrees. It is expected that another western disturbance will affect Punjab in the coming days.

According to the information released by the Meteorological Department, a red alert has been issued in 6 districts today. There will be a red alert in Ferozepur, Fazilka, Faridkot, Muktsar and Bathinda. While an orange alert has been issued in the entire state. At the same time, there will be a drop of 1 to 2 degrees in all the cities today.

Relief will expected from Western Disturbance

According to the Meteorological Department, a new Western Disturbance is going to be active from May 29. Due to which rain and hailstorm activities can be seen in many states. The effect of this Western Disturbance will also be seen in Punjab. Chances of rain are less, but this Western Disturbance is going to give some relief to the people from the heat.

Heat wave will continue in June too

According to the Meteorological Department, heat wave has been blowing in the last few days and twice the temperature of many cities of the state is being recorded between 45 to 50 degree Celsius.

In the month of May, there have been five to seven days of heatwave in Punjab. Talking about North India, five western disturbances became active, but only two were active. Due to which rain activities were also seen less.

According to the Meteorological Department, the month of June is also not looking to give relief. It is estimated that the heat wave will continue in the month of June too.
