According to the report released by the Chandigarh Center of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the weather in Punjab is going to remain dry today (May 20). Not only this, no alert has been issued for rain or strong winds in Punjab today and the next two days. There was a continuous decrease in temperature for the last two days, after which there will be a slight rise in temperature now.

According to the Meteorological Department, light rain of about 1 mm was seen in Rupnagar and Pathankot of Punjab. After which the temperature of the state has dropped by 2 degrees Celsius, although the temperature remains close to normal in the state. The highest temperature in the state has been recorded at 44.8 ° C in Bathinda, which was the hottest place in the whole of Punjab.

Heatwaves and hot nights were recorded in some parts of Haryana and Punjab. No alert has been issued for Punjab for the next two days. But from May 23, many districts of the state, especially the districts adjoining Himachal Pradesh, may receive rain and strong winds. This change will be seen especially in Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Pathankot, Nawanshahr and surrounding districts.
