After two days of rain in Punjab and Chandigarh, people have got relief from the heat. Now the weather is going to change again. People may have to face a heat wave for three days from April 16.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of rain in the state till April 17, while light to moderate rain may occur at some places on April 18 and 19. Along with this, there is a possibility of heat wave in some parts of the state between April 16 and 18.
The Meteorological Department has warned of heat wave in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh in the next 48 to 72 hours. The humid heat in these areas may increase the problems of people. In such a situation, for safety, it is advised to stay in the shade and stay hydrated.
On the other hand, the Health Department has issued a heat advisory in which people have been advised not to step out of their homes in the hot sun. Additionally, beds have been reserved for patients affected by the heat wave in all government hospitals.
