Punjab Weather Update: Western Disturbance gets active as light drizzle across many districts since morning

But in the coming 2 to 3 days, the temperature of Punjab may increase by up to 4 degrees.

Temperature change will be seen in Punjab today. From today the western disturbance is becoming active. Due to this there was light rain in many districts including Jalandhar, Amritsar in the morning. The weather will change once again in the coming days. In the last 24 hours, the average maximum temperature of the state has increased by 0.6 degree Celsius.

However, it remains 2.2 degree Celsius higher than normal. The highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded at 26.7 degree Celsius in Rupnagar. According to the Meteorological Center, there will not be much change in temperature today. But in the coming 2 to 3 days, the temperature of Punjab may increase by up to 4 degrees.

According to the Meteorological Center, Western Disturbance is becoming active in Punjab from today. Initially, its effect will be seen in the hilly areas. There are chances of rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir from 25 to 28. At the same time, the weather will change in the hilly areas of Himachal from 26 to 28.

The effect of this western disturbance will be seen after 26. A yellow alert has been issued for rain in Punjab from 26 to 28 February. On the other hand, a rain alert has been issued for the districts adjoining Himachal Pradesh, namely Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar, SAS Nagar and Nawanshahr on 26 January.
