Yellow alert for rain in 12 districts of Punjab: Maximum temperature increased by 3.1 degrees

The weather is going to remain active in Punjab from June 28 to the next 3-4 days

With the activation of the southwest monsoon in Punjab, the weather is changing. Light to moderate rain with thundershowers is expected in many parts of the state from June 28 to the next few days. A yellow alert has been issued for rain in 12 districts today. On Friday, light rain was recorded in Pathankot, while Ropar received 0.5 mm of rain.

Due to a lack of rain in most of the districts of the state, the maximum temperature increased by 3.1 degrees, but it remained around the average. The highest temperature was recorded at 39°C in Bathinda. At the same time, the temperature increased by 4.5 degrees in Amritsar and the maximum temperature was 34 degrees, 36.1 degrees in Ludhiana, 36.8 degrees in Patiala and 34.6 degrees in Pathankot.

The weather is going to remain active in Punjab from June 28 to the next 3-4 days. Heavy to very heavy rain warnings have been issued in some areas. People have been advised to remain alert and pay attention to the alert issued by the Meteorological Department.

The temperature will remain normal in most parts of the state today. Light rain or thundershowers are expected in some districts of North and North-Eastern Punjab like Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar, Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala, Sangrur, Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Kapurthala.

29 June– Heavy rain alert has been issued in the state. Heavy to very heavy rain with thundershowers is forecast in districts like Nawanshahr, Ludhiana, Sangrur, Malerkotla, Patiala, Mohali, Rupnagar. At the same time, cloudy weather and showers are also expected in south-western districts like Muktsar, Faridkot, Moga, Bathinda.

30 June- Thunderstorms and showers are forecast in most districts of the state. Yellow alert has been issued especially in areas like Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Mohali, Sangrur, Patiala etc.
