A yellow alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department in Punjab today as well. The effect of continuous rain in Himachal Pradesh can be seen on the border districts of Punjab.
It rained in most of the districts of the state yesterday, but despite this, the average maximum temperature of Punjab has increased by 3.4 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature of the state has now reached close to normal.
On Wednesday, Bathinda was the hottest with 36.5 degrees, while Amritsar recorded 30.9, Ludhiana 32.8, Patiala 33.6 and Gurdaspur 31 degrees.
Talking about rain, till 5:30 pm on Wednesday, Gurdaspur recorded the highest rainfall of 57.2 mm, Ludhiana 30.6 mm, Ferozepur 16 mm, Pathankot 7.5 mm, Amritsar 4.8 mm, Hoshiarpur 4 mm and Mohali 2 mm.
A new round of rain will start from July 28
A yellow alert has been issued in three districts of Punjab regarding rain today. There are chances of moderate rain in Pathankot, Hoshiarpur and Gurdaspur. After which the situation is expected to remain normal in the state for the next three days.
But, a new round of rain will start from midnight of July 27-28. Conditions are being created for moderate rain in the districts adjoining Himachal and normal rain in other states.

Ludhiana – There will be light clouds, there is no chance of rain. The temperature is expected to be between 26 to 31 degrees.
Patiala – There will be light clouds, there is no chance of rain. The temperature is expected to be between 27 to 31 degrees.
Mohali- There will be light clouds, there are chances of rain. The temperature is expected to be between 29 to 30 degrees.
