Punjab Weather updates: IMD issues orange-yellow alert, light rainfall may drop temperature

Since orange alert has been issued in Punjab, dip in temperature can be observed in coming 2-3 days

Chandigarh: Orange and Yellow Alerts have been issued by the Meteorological Department for April 13 and 14 respectively. During these 2 days, strong winds and rain are likely to occur in many parts of Punjab.

Its effect will be seen in almost all parts of Punjab. The experts of Punjab Agriculture University Meteorological Department said that farmers must take care of their crops during these days because this is the time of wheat harvest and if rain can cause serious damage to the farmer’s produce.  

Expert from PAU said that farmers should not cut crops on these days when IMD has issued orange alert. He said that if we talk about the mercury, the maximum temperature is around 34 degrees and the minimum is around 17 degrees.

Since orange alert has been issued in Punjab, dip in temperature can be observed in coming 2-3 days but after that people will have to bear the effects of the heat again. For short time, people will get relief from the heat for two days.
