Jalandhar: A Punjabi man who went to Greece from Jalandhar died there under suspicious circumstances. The deceased has been identified as Dharminder Singh alias Lucky, 42, who is a Mohalla Baghwala, Shahkot resident. Lucky’s death has been confirmed by brother Sarabjit Singh. Lucky had gone to Greece five years ago.
The deceased’s elder brother Sarabjit Singh, a resident of Mohalla Baghwala, Shahkot, said that his brother Dharminder Singh alias Lucky (42), who had gone to Greece about 5 years ago, died under suspicious circumstances. A youth from a nearby village informed Sarabjit about Lucky’s death and sent his photo on WhatsApp.
On calling the said youth, the youth said that this photo was sent to him by a relative living in Greece. Sarabjit Singh said that after a lot of effort, he found the numbers of other Punjabi youths living with his brother in Greece and contacted them on the phone who confirmed that Dharminder Singh’s body was found on the seashore and now the body is in the hospital.
The reason for his death is not yet known. He came to know that 3 days ago his brother had left his old job and gone somewhere. Sarabjit Singh has appealed to the central government and the Ministry of External Affairs to help bring his brother’s body to India.
