Rain alert in Punjab: Dense fog will last for 3 days, temperature to fall

Chandigarh: People in Punjab and Chandigarh will have to face dense fog and rain at some places from today (Wednesday). Western disturbance has become active. Due to this, there is a possibility of rain till January 16. There is a yellow alert of dense fog in the state till January 18.

There is no alert after the 19th. On the other hand, if we talk about the last 24 hours, the average maximum temperature of the state has dropped by 0.2. It also remains close to the normal temperature of the state.

Faridkot in Punjab has recorded the highest temperature of 23.1 degrees. While the temperature in Chandigarh was 22.1 degrees.

Possibility of rain in these districts for 2 days

Rain conditions are being created at some places in mainly 13 districts of Punjab today. These districts include Ferozepur, Faridkot, Fazilka, Muktsar Sahib, Moga, Bathinda, Mansa, Barnala, Ludhiana, Sangrur, Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib and Patiala. While on January 16, there is a rain alert in six districts. These include Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar, Mohali and some areas of Fatehgarh Sahib.

Cold nights in Ludhiana and Pathankot

Talking about night temperature, it is very cold in Pathankot and Ludhiana. The minimum night temperature in both the districts is 4.7 degrees. At the same time, the night temperature in Mohali is 10.8 degrees and in Chandigarh it is 8.3 degrees.

However, the temperature of all the districts of the state is less than 10 degrees.
