Chandigarh, April 20: The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding rain and storm in Punjab. According to this, there is a possibility of lightning and strong winds blowing at a speed of 40-50 km/hour in Sangrur, Patiala, Fatehgarh Sahib and Ludhiana districts today.
Along with this, there has been a slight drop in temperature after two days of rain in many districts. Due to which people have got slight relief and the temperature has reached close to normal. According to the information released by the Meteorological Center, no alert has been issued regarding rain or storm in Punjab today.
But, there are chances of rain today also. In the last 24 hours, the average maximum temperature in Punjab has seen a drop of 1.1 degree Celsius, although the temperature is still around normal. But now in the coming days, it will gradually increase again. At the same time, there are also chances of heat wave during this time.
It may rain in some areas today
In the last two days, most of the districts in Punjab received rain. No alert has been issued for Punjab today, but there are chances of rain today as well. According to the Meteorological Center, districts adjoining Himachal Pradesh may receive rain today.

Amritsar- The sky will be clear. There will be a slight drop in the minimum temperature. The temperature will remain between 23 to 34 degrees.
Jalandhar- The sky will be clear. There will be a slight drop in the minimum temperature. The temperature will remain between 23 to 34 degrees.
Ludhiana- There will be a slight drop in the minimum temperature, there are chances of rain as well. The temperature will remain between 21 to 36 degrees.
Patiala- Minimum temperature will fall slightly, there are chances of rain as well. The temperature will remain between 24 to 35 degrees.
Mohali- There will be light clouds. There are also chances of rain. The temperature is expected to be between 23 to 35 degrees.
