Chandigarh: S. Randeep Singh Ahluwalia today assumed the charge as Additional Director of the Information and Public Relations Department following his promotion. Mr. Ahluwalia, a 1999 batch Information and Public Relations Officer selected through PPSC, was previously serving as the senior-most Joint Director in the department. He was recently promoted to the post of Additional Director by the Departmental Promotion Committee (DOC).
Born in Mansa city, Mr. Ahluwalia has been serving in the department for the past 26 years. Before that, he worked as Sub-Editor for five and half years in the leading Punjabi newspaper Ajit. After completing his graduation in commerce, he completed LLB and Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication from Punjabi University, Patiala. Throughout his career, he has earned a reputation for working with honesty and dedication. He is also well-recognized in the field of Punjabi literature for his socially relevant poetry.
