Ravneet Singh Bittu criticizes CM Mann for placing his name above the name of Bhagat Singh on Foundation Stone

BJP Leader and Union Minister, Ravneet Singh Bittu raised a strong objection to the placement of Bhagat Singh's name on a foundation Stone in Khatkar Kalan.

Jalandhar: BJP Leader and Union Minister, Ravneet Singh Bittu raised a strong objection to the placement of Bhagat Singh’s name on a foundation Stone in Khatkar Kalan. The stone which was meant to mark a significant development project, featured the name of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann at the top, with Bhagat Singh’s name placed below it.

Bittu, known for his vocal criticism of the AAP termed this move as “disrespectful” and “insensitive”, highlighting that Bhagat Singh, a revolutionary icon, should have been given more prominence on such day. He said this is the insult to the National Hero.

The foundation Stone, which was laid by Bhagwant Mann for a local development project in Khatkar Kalan, is now at the center of political controversy.

The Punjab Chief Minister’s office has yet to issue an official statement responding to the criticism. However, sources close to Bhagwant Mann suggested that the placement of the names was not intended to diminish Bhagat Singh’s stature but rather to mark the project’s significance in his native village.
