Jalandhar: Today in Jalandhar, Punjab, Shiromani Akali Dal held a big meeting against its own party. Many senior leaders of Akali Dal had reached the meeting. On the other hand, an important meeting of Akali Dal was held in Chandigarh, in which the said leaders were found absent.
The leaders who were found absent were holding a separate meeting in Jalandhar. Sikandar S Maluka, Surjit S Rakhra, Bibi Jagir Kaur, Prem S Chandumajra and many other senior leaders were present in the meeting. Prem Singh Chandumajra said – Today it was discussed seriously why the Akali Dal has become so weak.
Chandumajra said – The party has come from the heights to the ground
Today we have come from the heights to the ground. Change is necessary in the party today to bring it back to the old position. Chandumajra said- On July 1, all of us Akali leaders will bow down in Sri Akal Takht Sahib. On July 1, we will start Shiromani Akali Dal Bachao Lehar from there. Senior Akali Dal leaders will be included in this journey.
Chandumajra also said- I appeal to party chief Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal not to ignore the sentiments of the workers, understand them. The party will take a decision after voting. Let us tell you that a few days ago also there was a demand to replace party chief Sukhbir Singh Badal. Now again this matter has gained momentum.
According to the information received, the meeting of the leaders lasted for about five hours. The leaders said- The level of Akali Dal has fallen from 2017 to 2024, this is a matter of concern. Along with this, Chandumajra has appealed to the party chief Sukhbir Singh Badal that the party should also keep the spirit of sacrifice to rise high on this date.
