Punjab Roadways PUNBUS and PRTC buses will run regularly today (Thursday). The union has withdrawn the decision to keep the bus stand closed for two hours today. This information was given by Punjab Roadways PUNBUS PRTC Contract Workers Union President Resham Singh. He said that this decision has been taken after a call from the department officials, in which they have assured to resolve salary related problems. However, in future it will be as before.
The decision has been withdrawn after this confidence
Union leaders said that regarding salary, the General Manager (Administration) has informed them about the salary budget for the month of April over the phone. Taking the responsibility of depositing the salary of regular, pensioner and contract employees in the accounts by late evening and the salary of the remaining outsourced colleagues in the accounts by tomorrow, the union has decided to keep the bus stand closed for 2 hours tomorrow.
Ultimatum given to management for next month
The union also made it clear that if the salary of PUNBUS and PRTC employees is not paid on time next month, then adhering to the earlier notice, we will protest against the management and the government by holding gate rallies in front of all the depots on the 7th. All bus stands in Punjab will remain closed on the 10th. In the next protest, following the principle of no salary, no work, all the depots will be closed as soon as possible, the responsibility of which will be of PUNBUS and PRTC management and the Punjab government
