Patiala: Seven to eight rocket ammunitions have been recovered from a garbage dump near a school on Rajpura Road in Patiala, Punjab. On receiving information, the police reached the spot and took them into custody. The police team took rocket launches to Lahori Gate police station.

On receiving information, the bomb disposal squad reached the spot. Investigation has revealed that there is no explosive in these shells. SSP Nanak has confirmed this. However, he said that an investigation is being conducted to find out where this bomb-like thing came from.

 Senior police officials reached the spot along with the bomb disposal squad and anti-sabotage check team. Police officials said that as per the preliminary check, the rockets were thrown by a scrap dealer, adding, “We are not ruling out anything.”

Regarding the matter, SSP Patiala said that a passerby had given information in this regard. Immediately after that, the police took action in this regard. The Bomb Squad team and the Army were also informed. CCTV footage is being examined to investigate this thoroughly. The SSP also says that he feels that some junkyard person has thrown it at this place.
