Jalandhar: Now the Women Commission has taken cognizance of the viral video of Charanjit Singh Channi. Channi is the candidate of the Congress party from the Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat whereas Bibi Jagir Kaur is prominent SAD leader.
Punjab Women Commission has taken seriously the alleged indecent behavior with Bibi Jagir Kaur, former chairperson of the Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee. The commission has sought a report from the DGP by tomorrow.
Channi-Bibi Jagir Kaur Viral video
Recently, a video of Channi where he and Bibi Jagir Kaur can seen engaged in light humor. Channi first greeted Jagir Kaur and later and later touched her chin. In the video, Bibi Jagir Kaur can be seen shrugging it off.
After the video went viral, Charanjit Channi reacted and clarified that he considered Bibi Jagir Kaur as his elder sister and the gesture of first bowing down and touching the chin was out of affection and respect.
The status report of the case has been summoned from the DGP of Punjab by 2 pm tomorrow, May 14, 2024. Referring to a video that went viral on social media, the Women’s Commission has taken serious cognizance of this and said that Bibi Jagir Kaur is an important personality and she was also the president of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee.
