RS Global Immigration owner held in rape case to be produced before court today, Police seize Car, CCTV footages

Jalandhar: Sukhchain Singh Rahi, the owner of RS Global Immigration, a famous travel agent in Jalandhar, is to be produced in court again today in the case of the rape of a 24-year-old woman. It is alleged that Rahi had called the 24-year-old girl to Prime Regalia Hotel located near BSF Chowk on the pretext.

Jalandhar: Sukhchain Singh Rahi, the owner of RS Global Immigration, a famous travel agent in Jalandhar, is to be produced in court again today in the case of the rape of a 24-year-old woman. It is alleged that Rahi had called the 24-year-old girl to Prime Regalia Hotel located near BSF Chowk on the pretext of a seminar where she was raped in a room on the second floor. After his arrest, the police produced him in court and took him on a two-day remand. The remand of the accused ended yesterday and today again he will be produced in the court.

According to the information received, the police seized some CCTV cameras installed in the hotel yesterday as evidence. The police can present these CCTV footages in court before judge.

Investigation so far has revealed that the accused reached the hotel in his Fortuner car. Taking action on this, the police have also taken Rahi’s Fortuner car into their possession. After two days of interrogation, he is to be produced in court again today. Rahi can be sent to jail today. At the same time, the police have recorded the boy’s statement under section 164.

The police recovered a note from the girl which was written before attempting suicide and has been sent for investigation. In the note, the victim has written that she lives in a PG located on Gadha Road in Jalandhar. On August 20, she called the office of the big RS Global Travel Agency located in the street next to Indo-Canadian. She spoke to the company’s employee Pallavi on the phone.

She was asked to come to the office the next day, August 21, where she was arranged to meet a travel agency owner named Sukhchain Singh Rahi, who introduced himself as the company’s owner. The accused had taken the victim’s number. The girl had asked him to go to Singapore. But Rahi said that he would send her to Canada on a work permit, and her expenses would also be minimal. On pretext of a seminar, the accused called the girl in a hotel. He also offered a drink to the girl after drinking which she became unconscious and later realised that the owner of the immigration company had sexually assaulted her.
