Ludhiana: Last night in Ludhiana, some youths in a speeding car created a ruckus on the road at Pahwa cut near Gill Chowk. Youths driving in the speeding car hit a person returning home from work. The person’s bike went under the car. The accident was so terrible that the person’s leg broke when the wheel of the car ran over him. One of the youths trying to flee was caught by the people while two others ran away.
When the car driver started running away from the spot, passersby chased and caught a person sitting in the back of the car. The taxi drivers admitted the injured bike rider to the civil hospital. The name of the injured is Sunil Kumar.
Giving information, taxi driver Jaskaran said that he had come to Ludhiana from Amritsar to drop a passenger. He saw at Pahwa Hospital cut that some people were driving fast car under the influence of alcohol. Those people hit Sunil who was coming on a bike.
When the youths started running, they were chased and caught with the help of the people. Injured Sunil’s leg is broken. Sunil’s family has been informed. People caught only 1 of the car riders, the rest ran away. Sunil’s family also informed the police and investigation will be carried out to arrest rest of the accused.
