Shiv Sena leader assaulted in Ludhiana by miscreants, supporters stage sit-in protest outside Police station

Ludhiana: After the incident of snatching and assault on the youth district president of Shiv Sena in Ludhiana late last night, enraged Shiv Sena leaders and workers gheraoed Salem Tabri police station today. Shiv Sena leaders sat on a dharna and protested by sitting on the road outside the police station. Shiv Sena leaders accused.

Ludhiana: After the incident of snatching and assault on the youth district president of Shiv Sena in Ludhiana late last night, enraged Shiv Sena leaders and workers gheraoed Salem Tabri police station today. Shiv Sena leaders sat on a dharna and protested by sitting on the road outside the police station. Shiv Sena leaders accused the police of misbehaving and demanded action.

Shiv Sena Uddhav Baba Bal Thackeray Punjab official Chandrakant Chadda, who was sitting on a dharna outside the police station, said that his youth wing district president Deepak Rana Deepu was returning from work late in the evening when some unknown people stopped him on the way and tried to rob him.

When Deepu opposed them, the accused started beating him. After the commotion, the accused fled from the spot. Police were informed on the spot, but instead of taking action, the police started misbehaving with Deepu by asking him many unnecessary questions.

Shiv Sena district youth president Deepak Rana Deepu said that he works as a manager in a factory. On Monday late evening, after finishing his duty, he was returning home when two unknown people started beating him on the way. Somehow he defended himself and informed the police.

On receiving information about the sit-in protest by Shiv Sena workers, SHO Bitan Kumar assured the protesters of taking action and ended the protest. He said that the CCTV cameras installed around the place where the incident took place will be checked and appropriate action will be taken after investigation.
