Members of Nagar Panchayat Mehatpur gave a written complaint to DSP Shahkot and said that in the presence of SHO in Mehatpur police station, children of Dalit community were threatened and asked to do dirty acts with each other. When this matter reached the people, people protested and gathered at Mehatpur police station and staged a dharna.

They demanded that 4-5 people were involved in this incident, but till now, action has been taken against only two people. Action should be taken against the rest of the employees so that the victim’s family can get justice. In this case, DSP Shahkot Omkar Singh Barad said – This incident is being investigated.

At present, both have been suspended and a departmental investigation is going on. If any other employee is found guilty in this, strict action will be taken against him as well.
