Shots fired over Dispute on water supply, three injured in Abohar

Doctors said that police have been informed about the incident.

In Bahadurkhera village of Abohar subdivision of Punjab, Bullet shots were fired on Friday morning over the water issue. In the reported incident, three people were injured. All three injured have been admitted to the government hospital in Abohar. All three injured are said to be residents of Gidderbaha.

Dispute over water supply in Bahadurkhera village of Abohar has come to light, during which two parties fired, due to which three persons were injured, who were admitted to the government hospital of Abohar for treatment. Doctors said that police have been informed about the incident.

Baldev Singh, son of Jabbar Singh, who was admitted to the hospital, said that he has land in Bahadurkhera village. This morning it was his turn to draw water but instead his relatives opened fire due to a dispute over the turn of water, injuring his father Baldev Singh, brother Gurjant Singh and Satwinder Singh. Two were shot in the thigh and one in the arm.

All the three injured have been admitted to the hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Jabar Singh said that he has already expressed his concern in this regard to the police.
