The farmers will observe the death anniversary of the late farmer Shubhkaran today (Friday). On this occasion, programs will be held at three borders Shambhu, Khanauri and Ratanpur, including Shubhkaran’s native village Ballon (Bathinda). The statue of Shubhkaran installed in the village Ballon will be unveiled. Shubhkaran died last year after being shot during a clash with the Haryana Police.
The hunger strike of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal at the Khanauri border has entered its 88th day. However, he has not been taking medical facilities since the 14th. The farmer leader has made it clear that he will attend the sixth round of meeting with the Central Government in Chandigarh on the 22nd February.
At the same time, he has sought suggestions from the people on the issue of MSP, so that he can fight the farmers’ battle strongly.
Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal has been on hunger strike since November 26. He started drinking water after receiving an invitation to the meeting from the Central Government. Farmers of Haryana are bringing water for him from their villages. Some farmers have brought holy water from Ganga, Golden Temple and Mecca Medina. So far, water has reached Khanauri border from 150 villages. Dallewal has thanked everyone for this. He said that consuming this water gives strength to his body.
