In February 2023, the court granted him interim bail for 5 days citing his wife’s pregnancy, but he violated the conditions and did not appear in court. Later, he filed bail petitions several times, but they kept getting rejected due to objections from the NIA.

Last month, he again took interim bail citing his wife’s surgery and this time too, he absconded as soon as he came out.

Ansari’s location was not found, his phone was also switched off

According to the NIA, Ansari’s location is not traceable. His mobile phone is switched off and the number he was in contact with was found registered in the name of a person from Assam. The NIA told the court that he is no longer living at the Ghaziabad address he had given to the court.

According to the NIA report, many weapons were recovered from him at the time of his arrest. He used to deal in weapons for the Lawrence Bishnoi gang frequently and earn lakhs of rupees through hawala. Investigation revealed that the person who gave him bail had also agreed to give his guarantee in exchange for money.
