Ludhiana:
Around six workers are feared trapped under the debris after a building collapsed in Focal Point Phase 8 in Ludhiana.
According to the officials, the incident occurred after a boiler in the unit — Kohli Dyeing exploded.
After the incident, the police as well as officials from district administration rushed to the site and initiated a rescue operation.
Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian and Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal have also reached the site to take stock of the situation.
DC Jorwal said that it has been learnt that there were 29 workers inside the unit since morning and after the incident six are feared trapped. The rescue operation is on and the injured have been rushed to the hospital. “There is no casualty confirmed as of now,” he added.
