Batala: In an unfortunate incident, a six-year-old girl who was riding a bike with her father died after her throat was slit with a plastic cord here near Batala Road metro bus bridge.
Khushi’s father came to know about the incident when blood started flowing from her neck. She was rushed to hospital, on being admitted to the hospital, the doctors said that the girl died due to airway obstruction.
Mani Singh, a resident of Deen Dayal Colony Verka, said that on Sunday he was going to Verka from Dhapai village on a motorcycle with his wife Komalpreet Kaur and six-year-old daughter Khushi. When he reached the metro bus bridge in front of Celebration Mall, the plastic thread or string hanging from the bridge caught his daughter Khushi, who was sitting in front of the bike. Later it was found that the daughter’s throat was slit due to the string.
When the girl was taken to a nearby private hospital with the help of some people present at the spot, the doctors declared her brought dead. The doctors said that the girl died due to her airway being cut.
