Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan flags off passenger bus under ‘Chief Minister Tirtha Yatra Scheme’

Chandigarh: Punjab Legislative Assembly Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan flagged of the bus of passengers under the ‘Chief Minister Tirtha Yatra Scheme’ launched by the Punjab Government led by Bhagwant Singh Mann. Chandigarh: Punjab Legislative Assembly Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan flagged of the bus of passengers under the ‘Chief Minister Tirtha Yatra Scheme’ launched by the Punjab Government led by Bhagwant Singh Mann.

On the occasion of flagging off the bus of devotees from Kotkapura for the journey to Shri Salasar Dham and Shri Khatu Shyam, S. Sandhwan said that with the launch of this scheme, Punjab residents will get free travel facilities to visit different pilgrimage places across the country. He said that the Punjab government will bear the expenses of the passengers traveling under this scheme.

S. Sandhwan said that under this scheme, trips will be organized to the holy places Sri Hazur Sahib (Nanded), Takht Sri Patna Sahib (Bihar), Varanasi Temple, Ayodhya and Vrindavan Dham (Uttar Pradesh), Sri Ajmer Sharif (Rajasthan).

Apart from this, trips will be made to places like Sri Anandpur Sahib, Sri Amritsar Sahib, Salasar Dham, Sri Khatu Shyam, Mata Chintpurni, Mata Vaishnu Devi, Mata Jwala Ji etc. He said that for the trips to these pilgrimage places, arrangements have been made for daily buses and trains from different parts of Punjab.

While giving good wishes to the passengers on this occasion, Mr. Sandhwan said that two types of means have been arranged by the state government to go on this pilgrimage. He said that the mode of travel for long distance religious places will be by rail and for short distances the mode of travel will be by road and buses.
