Chandigarh, June 1: The 350th martyrdom anniversary of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji and the 450th foundation anniversary of Amritsar Sahib will be celebrated with great enthusiasm. This information was given by Punjab Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan. He was talking to the media in Chandigarh today on Sunday. He said that suggestions will be taken from religious organizations and people including SGPC. Suggestions will be taken by visiting all the places where Guru Sahib has visited. At the same time, a special session of the Assembly will also be called.
The events will be decided after people’s suggestions. When the Vidhansabha Speaker was asked where would be the main centre of this function, the Speaker said that after suggestions are taken from the people, the programmes will be decided on the basis of the opinion received. He said that he himself will go to take suggestions from great personalities. When he was asked whether opinions will also be taken from political parties, he said that for now I will take suggestions from religious organisations. He will visit these organisations everyday.
