Speeding car collides with parked tipper in Jalandhar, 3 injured

The woman has sustained serious injuries in the accident and has been admitted to a private hospital for treatment

A major road accident took place in front of Capitol Hospital near Pathankot Bypass in Jalandhar this morning. A Wagon-R car with a Jammu and Kashmir number plate collided with a tipper parked on the roadside. The CRPF jawan was travelling in the car with his wife and children. The woman has sustained serious injuries in the accident and has been admitted to a private hospital for treatment. The children also sustained minor injuries.

A speeding car hits a parked tipper

The tipper driver said that his vehicle had broken down about an hour ago, and he was repairing it using a jack underneath. Just then, a speeding car came from behind and hit the tipper directly. Ambulance driver Rajkumar said that the vehicle was coming at a high speed. Meanwhile, the vehicle lost its balance and collided with a parked tipper. In the incident, the children and the person were taken out of the car first. The woman was seriously injured in the incident.

The car driver was returning from Jammu after completing his leave and was to join duty in Chandigarh. At the same time, the tipper driver, Kewal Singh said that the bolt of his vehicle was broken. The speeding car driver hit the parked tipper while he was beneath it, repairing it.

The police officer said that the tipper was damaged in this accident. It is being said that the car driver is a CRPF jawan and his name is Manish Kumar. Police said that the vehicle is being taken to the side of the road with the help of a crane. Further action will be taken based on the statements of both victims.
