Spike in stubble burning cases in Punjab: AQI crosses 200 in 5 districts, Chandigarh AQI hits 325

Chandigarh’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 325 and maximum 408 on Saturday midnight. At the same time, the highest AQI of 280 was recorded in Mandi Gobindgarh of Punjab, while the maximum was 360. AQI in Amritsar was 240, while the maximum reached 312. The highest number of cases of stubble burning in Punjab have been registered in Sangrur. Where 887 FIRs have been registered. At the same time, 633 cases were registered in Amritsar and 612 in Tarn Taran.
