Sri Hemkunt Sahib Yatra will begin from May 22, cap on number of daily pilgrims

It has been decided by the Uttarakhand government that currently only 3500 devotees will be able to visit the Gurdwara Sahib daily. This decision has been taken by the government considering the current situation. This time there is still a lot of snow. The number of pilgrims can be increased after the snow melts in the next few days.

Let us tell that Yatra of Sri Hemkunt Sahib will start from May 22. The Yatra will be inaugurated by the Governor of Uttarakhand under the leadership of Panj Pyaras. While the doors of Sri Hemkunt Sahib will be opened on May 25 for Sangat.

According to the information received, under the leadership of District Officer Himanshu Khurana, the officials of every department of the administration and the managers of Gurdwara Trust inspected the walking journey from Govindghat to Hemkunt Sahib.

He said that keeping in mind the current ground situation, the Uttarakhand government, district administration have decided the number of 3500 pilgrims per day who will be able to visit Gurdwara Sri Hemkunt Sahib.

He said that there is a lot of snow in the current situation and the number of passengers will be reconsidered after the snow melts. In view of this, the elderly and children were also suggested not to travel for 15 days.

Every traveler coming for the trip will be required to register online with the government. This arrangement was made keeping in mind the convenience and safety of the devotees.
