In a bid to transform Ludhiana into a thriving hub for startups, the Ludhiana Angels Network (LAN) is all set to host the much-awaited Startup Samagam – Leaders’ Conclave 2025 on April 12 at Hotel Park Plaza from 10:00 AM onwards.
This high-energy, half-day conclave promises to be a melting pot of ideas, innovation, and investment opportunities, bringing together over 100 startup founders, investors, industry stalwarts, and policy makers from across the tri-city region of Jalandhar, Amritsar, and Ludhiana.
Addressing the media here on Monday, SK Rai, Director at LAN and Vice Chairman of Hero Cycles, said, “The upcoming Startup Samagam is more than an event — it’s a catalyst for what’s next big thing in Ludhiana.” Emphasizing the city’s industrial strengths, he added, “If there’s going to be a unicorn in manufacturing, it has to come from Ludhiana.”
LAN CEO Shibananda Dash informed the purpose behind this initiative is to bridge the gap between business and academia as most of the start-ups are failing due to differences in the working of industry and what they are actually learning from the academies.
“Here the start-ups will be provided proper atmosphere, insights from the industry leaders as well as the opportunity to get investors,” he said while adding that in this Startup Samagam where over 100 startup founders, investors, industry leaders are participating, four start-ups will even pitch their ideas before the investors.
Besides, the entrepreneurs will be awarded under different categories, recognizing outstanding contributions to entrepreneurship and incubation.
“The event include experts session with eminent speakers including Sunil Kant Munjal, Chairman, Hero Enterprise; Himanshu Jain (IAS), Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana; Sakshi Sawhney (IAS), Deputy Commissioner, Amritsar and Gaurav Singh Kushwaha, Founder, Bluestone,” Shibananda Dash added.
Sanjeev Pahwa, MD, Ralson India Ltd also added that this is a platform where top industrialists, policy makers, investors are getting together to make Ludhiana a hotbed of Start-Ups. So, those who are willing to become an entrepreneur and have a good business idea, they should come and register for the event.
