Amritsar: Through a post on X, SAD Chief Sukhbir Badal informed that he will present before Akal Takht Sahib over the allegations made by his own party’s rebel faction. Vowing reverence and humility towards the summon of Akal Takht Sahib, Sukhbir Badal said that he will appear before the Jathedars with immense respect.
In a post on X, he said, “As a devout and humble Sikh, I am devoted to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj and the supreme shrine of Miri Piri, Sri Akal Takht Sahib. According to the order of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, I will appear at the highest place with immense reverence and humility.”
Let us tell you that yesterday a meeting of all five jathedars was held under the chairmanship of Giani Raghbir Singh. In the meeting, various decisions were taken of which a summon was issued to Sukhbir Badal to present within 15 days and present his side on the allegations posed by the party’s rebel faction. During the meeting, leaders of the rebel group submitted a written apology to Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh.
The group apology submitted by the rebel group is for being the part of SAD government from 2007 to 2017 when reportedly incidents of sacrilege, vindication of Dera head Ram Rahim and many more.
The He will have to present his side on all the allegations including taking the side of Dera chief Ram Rahim, SGPC issuing an advertisement of 90 lakhs of Akali Dal and sacrilege cases.
In this meeting, a decision was also taken to stop the incidents of sacrilege in Gurudwaras. Earlier, those who went against the rules of the sect were punished. In which former Jathedar of Patna Sahib Giani Iqbal Singh was given religious punishment. They were punished by serving dirty utensils for 11 days, listening to religious rites and offering 500 rupees worth of Karaah Prasad.
