Party sources revealed that Sunil Jakhar who was not happy from past time resigned from his post ahead of the elections.

Chandigarh: In a major political development, BJP has suffered a setback amidst the Haryana assembly elections and Punjab Panchayat Elections. Various reports have claimed that Punjab BJP Chief Sunil Jakhar has tendered his resignation from post of party Chief. It should be noted that there is no official confirmation from Sunil Jakhar himself on this recent update.

Party sources revealed that Sunil Jakhar who was not happy from past time resigned from his post ahead of the elections. So far, the party has not accepted it yet.

When Sunil Jakhar was contacted regarding the resignation, he did not pick up the phone and presented his side on the recent political development. On the other hand, Punjab BJP General Secretary Anil Sareen completely refuted the claim and said that the resignation of Sunil Jakhar is just a rumor and is completely baseless.

He said, “Mr Jakhar is president of the state unit of the BJP and performing his duties as president. This is false propaganda being spread by the opposition parties.”

On the other hand, Congress has also reacted the on the alleged resignation of Sunil Jakhar. PPCC Chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring in a post on X, said, “Mr @sunilkjakhar, All the best, where next ?“. Senior leader of Punjab Congress Partap Singh Bajwa went ahead and said that there is no place for Sunil Jakhar even in Congress now.
