Tarn Taran: Fire engulfs roadways bus parked at Patti bus stand

A roadways bus parked at the bus stand in Patti, the constituency of Punjab Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar, suddenly caught fire. The bus was completely burnt in a short time. The depot and roadways employees controlled the fire, otherwise there could have been a big loss.

Patti bus depot general manager Dara Singh said that there was no loss of life. The bus had come from Yamunanagar. In the preliminary investigation, a short circuit in the bus is being considered the cause of the fire.

Patti roadways bus depot general manager said that the incident happened late at night. Driver Kashmir Singh had taken this bus to Yamunanagar and had returned to Patti bus stand via Rajpura. The driver parked the bus. After 15 minutes, flames suddenly started rising from the bus.

When the roadways bus stand and depot employees saw this, everyone gathered together and started throwing water on the bus. The rest of the buses parked nearby left from there.

To prevent the fire from reaching the diesel tank of the bus, water was continuously thrown on the tank. After about an hour of hard work, the fire was brought under control.
