Tarn Taran: In a significant operation Tarn Taran Police have arrested Shehnaz Singh, a notorious transnational drug lord, wanted by the FBI. He is also known as Shawn Bhinder, was a key figure in a global narcotics syndicate involved in smuggling cocaine from Colombia into the USA and Canada.
This arrest follows the capture of four of Shehnaz Singh’s associates in the US on February 26, 2025. The individuals arrested included Amritpal Singh alias Bal, Amritpal Singh alias Cheema, Takdir Singh alias Romy, Sarbjit Singh alias Sabi, and Fernando Valladares alias Franco.
During their arrests, US authorities seized 391 kg of Methamphetamine, 109 Kg Cocaine, and four firearms from their residences and vehicles.
After the crackdown in US, Shehnaz Singh fled to India, where the Punjab Police tracked him down and successfully apprehended him. This operation highlights Punjab Police’s commitment to combat drug trafficking and organized crime.
DGP Punjab Police gave this information through his X handle. He wrote, The Police force remains dedicated to collaborating with international law enforcement agencies to ensure that Punjab is not a sanctuary for drug smugglers and criminals.
