Tarn Taran: Tarn Taran, SSP Ashwini Kapoor has suspended the police station in charge for negligence on duty. Harike police station in-charge Shimla Rani, who did not register the theft case for four months, has been immediately suspended by the SSP and sent to the police line.

The victim of this case had made several rounds of the said police station, and then he appeared before the SSP and told the whole incident. After that, the SSP took immediate action and suspended the SHO of Harike police station, Shimla Rani, and ordered her to register a case related to the theft incident.

Harike resident Sahib Singh Sandhu said that he has an electronic shop in Harike. He told me that on the night of January 27, a thief entered his shop and stole about 30 mobiles kept in the shop. This theft incident was captured on CCTV. According to the victim, Sandhu, he immediately informed the in-charge of the concerned police station, Harike, Shimla Rani. Shimla Rani kept postponing the matter by saying that it would be investigated.

He said that after this, he, along with some of his relatives, kept showing the photo of the thief captured on CCTV to the nearby villages to identify him. During this time, he came to know that the person who committed the theft was a resident of the nearby village of Marhana. He also told this to SHO Shimla Rani, but she did not take any action.

When he went to the police station again after a few days, Shimla Rani started telling him that she had called the accused to the police station and would make him sign a compromise. The victim said that when he told Shimla Rani that there had been a theft in his shop, why should he sign a compromise? After this, he met SSP Ashwini Kapoor and told him about the whole incident. After this, the SSP took action and suspended the police station in charge.
