Terror plot foiled in Amritsar, Weapons and RDX seized

Amid the ongoing tension on the India-Pakistan border, the Border Security Force (BSF) and Amritsar Rural Police have foiled a terrorist plot in Amritsar.

Amritsar, May 11: Amid the ongoing tension on the India-Pakistan border, the Border Security Force (BSF) and Amritsar Rural Police have foiled a terrorist plot in Amritsar. A large quantity of RDX and hand grenades sent into the Indian border by drone have been seized.

This action was taken near village Chak Bala (Thana Ajnala) after receiving important information from the villagers at 11 am on Sunday. DGP Gaurav Yadav has confirmed this. He said that in this serious case, an FIR has been registered under the Explosion Substance Act, Arms Act and Aircraft Act.

Police say this attempt to smuggle weapons was made from across the border, the aim of which could have been to carry out terrorist activities in Punjab.

The team recovered a huge cache of arms and explosives from the fields, which included:

972 grams of RDX (explosive substance)

two hand grenades

two detonators

a remote control device and charger
