Punjab Police arrests smuggler with 1kg opium

When the police tried to stop him, he started running from there.

Hoshiarpur: The police in Thana Mahilpur, Hoshiarpur, have arrested drug smugglers. 1 kg of opium has been recovered from the smuggler.

The police have registered a case against the accused. The smuggler will be produced in court soon. The smuggler has been identified as Ajay Pal, a resident of Pind Sindoli Thana Vijay District, Uttar Pradesh.

ASI Harbhajan Singh of Thana Mahilpur reached village Bhullewal Gujran in connection with the investigation of fellow employees. When he reached the turn on Jaijo Road, a person was standing in suspicious condition, holding a wax envelope in his right hand.

When the police tried to stop him, he started running from there, and then the police caught him. He gave his name as Ajay Pal, son of Hari Chand, a resident of Pind Sindoli Thana Vijay District, Uttar Pradesh, and Thana Nehru Nangal District, Hoshiarpur.

Ajay Pal took out a black envelope from his head upon seeing the above police party. When the police examined the envelope, a total of 990 grams of opium were recovered from it. Under which a case was registered under 18,61,85 SW NDPS. Further action is being taken by the police. Find out from where he used to bring such a huge amount of opium and to whom he used to take it and send it.
