Theft at medical shop in Ludhiana; Rs 97,000 Cash stolen

Ludhiana: A video of a thief breaking into a medical store in New Kundanpuri, Ludhiana has surfaced. The thief stole about 97 thousand rupees from the shop’s cash box. The shopkeeper had gone to Civil City for some important work.

He was stunned to see the gate open when he returned to the shop after over an hour. The gate of the shop was broken and the goods were scattered in the shop. He informed the police immediately after the money was not found in the cash box. Cops of Police Station Kailash Nagar reached the spot for investigation.

Medical shop owner Harish said he had gone to Civil City for important work. The shop had a glass door. When he  came back and saw, he was stunned to see the shop door open. The lock of the gate was broken and  97 thousand rupees were missing from the cash box. Construction work is going on at home, due to which cash was kept at the shop.

When the CCTV cameras installed in the shop were checked, it was found that a person wearing a red woolen cap stood outside the shop for some time. The miscreant broke the lock of the glass door and entered the shop and committed theft. Harish said that he suspects that this theft may have been committed by drug addicts. Many drug addicts keep roaming around his shop.

At present the police have registered the case and investigating the matter.
