Theft in police officer house in Kapurthala

Kapurthala: Thieves targeted the house of a Punjab Police sub-inspector resident of village Kheda Dona in Kapurthala district, broke the locks of the cupboard, and fled after stealing jewellery and cash.

When the police officer woke up in the morning, he learned about the theft. At present, on the complaint of the police officer, the Sadar police station has registered an FIR against unknown thieves and started investigating the case.

According to the information, Sub Inspector Charanjit Singh, a resident of village Kheda Dona posted in Hoshiarpur, told the police that last night he was sleeping in the house with his family. But when he woke up at 5 in the morning, he saw that someone had locked his room from outside. When he looked back from the window of the room, the window of the other room of his house was open, and the latch was also broken. When he went inside, he saw that the locks of the iron cupboard were also broken and the items were scattered. which gold ornaments worth lakhs of rupees and cash worth about 50 thousand were missing.

On the complaint of Sub Inspector Charanjit Singh, the Sadar police station has registered an FIR against unknown thieves and started searching for them. Confirming this, investigating officer ASI Harjinder Pal Singh said that some CCTV cameras installed in the village are being scanned. He said that the accused thieves would be caught soon.
